What This Service Involves

Starting a lawn from scratch on a new build or bare lot is about far more than throwing down seed. We evaluate the native soil, amend the heavy clay that dominates much of Western Washington, and grade the site so winter rain sheds instead of standing. From there we install either premium sod or a tailored seed blend chosen for your light conditions, whether that is full sun or the dappled shade of established firs. Proper prep at this stage means a lawn that resists moss, drains cleanly, and holds up to years of Puget Sound weather.

Our Process

1) Survey the lot for soil type, grade, and drainage; 2) Amend and till the base with compost and topsoil; 3) Rough- and fine-grade to shed water away from structures; 4) Install sod or apply a calibrated seed blend; 5) Set watering and establishment guidance for the first season
