What This Service Involves

Ornamental grasses add movement and winter interest, but the old foliage needs to be cut back each year so fresh growth can come in clean and full. We cut grasses down to the right height at the right time – typically late winter to early spring before new blades emerge – and clean out the accumulated thatch. Done annually, this keeps grasses vigorous, well-shaped, and looking their best rather than tired and matted in the center.
