Pressure Regulator Installation

We install pressure regulators that tame high municipal water pressure, protecting heads and drip lines from misting, blowouts, and premature wear.

What This Service Involves

Many Puget Sound neighborhoods deliver water pressure higher than sprinkler heads and drip emitters are designed for, causing fine misting that drifts away before reaching the lawn. Excess pressure also fatigues fittings and blows out drip emitters, shortening the life of the whole system. We measure your static and operating pressure, then install a properly sized regulator to hold output in the optimal range. The result is larger, on-target droplets, consistent drip flow, and far less water lost to wind and evaporation.

Benefits

Stops misting and wind drift from high pressure; Extends the life of heads, valves, and emitters; Delivers larger, on-target water droplets; Stabilizes drip flow across long runs; Reduces water waste and repair frequency

Our Process

1) Measure static and operating water pressure; 2) Determine the target pressure range; 3) Select a correctly sized regulator; 4) Install and plumb the regulator inline; 5) Verify downstream pressure and spray quality

What Affects the Cost

Incoming pressure and required drop; Regulator size and quality; Plumbing and fitting modifications; Point-of-connection versus per-zone regulation; System complexity

Best Time of Year

Install in spring before heavy summer use so heads and drip lines run at safe pressure all season.
