Shaping Your Outdoors. Surpassing Expectations.
Dense blue-gray sandstone pavers with a refined thermal or natural-cleft finish, perfect for elegant Northwest patios and entryways.
Bluestone is a tight-grained sandstone whose cool blue-gray tones pair naturally with the evergreen backdrop and overcast light of Western Washington. It is available thermal-finished for a smooth, uniform surface or natural-cleft for subtle texture and grip underfoot. The stone is dense and low-absorption, which helps it resist the moss staining and spalling that plague softer materials through our long wet winters. We install it over a compacted base with careful drainage fall, and sawn-edge pieces let us achieve crisp, contemporary joint lines.
Sophisticated blue-gray color that complements evergreens; Dense, low-absorption stone resists moisture damage; Thermal or cleft finishes for smooth or textured looks; Clean sawn edges enable tight modern joints; Excellent durability against freeze-thaw
1) Confirm layout, finish, and drainage grade; 2) Excavate and compact a crushed-rock base; 3) Screed a leveling bedding course; 4) Set bluestone units with consistent joint spacing; 5) Sweep joints, compact, and seal if desired
Full-color versus select blue stone; Thermal versus natural-cleft finish; Thickness and square footage; Pattern layout and custom cuts; Delivery distance and site access
Ideal in the spring-to-fall dry window so bedding compacts cleanly and any sealer fully cures before winter rains.
