What This Service Involves

Channel drains are the ideal fix for hardscaped surfaces where Puget Sound rain sheets across concrete and pavers with nowhere to go. We set a continuous grated trench flush with the surface so water is intercepted along its entire length rather than at a single point. Each channel is sloped and tied into a solid outlet pipe that carries runoff safely away from your foundation and walkways. This keeps driveways, garage aprons, and pool decks from becoming slick, icy hazards during our long wet winters.

Our Process

1) Assess surface grade and identify low points where water collects; 2) Saw-cut and excavate a trench along the flow path; 3) Set the channel body level and to the required slope; 4) Connect the outlet to a solid discharge line routed away from structures; 5) Backfill, secure the grate, and restore the surrounding surface

Best Time of Year

Best installed in the drier late spring through early fall window when concrete cutting and curing are easiest, though channel work can proceed year-round.
