What This Service Involves

Downspouts dumping at the foundation are one of the most common causes of wet basements and eroded beds on rainy PNW homes. We connect each downspout to a buried solid pipe that carries the concentrated roof runoff underground and away from the structure. The lines are sloped to a daylight outlet, pop-up emitter, or dry well so water never collects against the walls. Burying the discharge also removes tripping hazards and unsightly splash blocks from your landscape.

Our Process

1) Locate each downspout and plan the buried routing; 2) Trench solid pipe on a slope away from the house; 3) Connect downspout adapters to the buried lines; 4) Terminate at a daylight outlet, emitter, or dry well; 5) Backfill, restore the surface, and test each line

Can be installed year-round, though drier summer soils make trenching and surface restoration quicker and cleaner.
