What This Service Involves

Pea gravel is a small, naturally tumbled rock in tan, gray, and brown tones that reads warm and casual in a Northwest garden setting. Its rounded shape is comfortable underfoot, making it a favorite for side yards, dog runs, and informal seating areas around Tacoma and Olympia homes. Because the stones shift easily, we recommend edging and a compacted base so it stays put through wet PNW winters. It also drains quickly, which helps keep low spots from puddling during our long rainy stretches.

1) Grade and slope the area for positive drainage away from structures; 2) Lay landscape fabric to block weeds and separate soil from stone; 3) Install and compact a crushed-rock base for stability; 4) Spread pea gravel to depth and rake to an even, walkable finish
