We build wide trench drain systems to collect and divert high-volume runoff along driveways, walkways, and low-lying yard sections.
Trench drains handle the heavy, sustained flows our Western Washington winters produce, using a deeper and wider channel than a typical surface grate. We excavate a graded trench, bed it in gravel, and install a rugged pre-sloped drain body capped with a load-rated grate. The system captures runoff over a long run and channels it into a solid pipe that discharges to a safe outlet or storm connection. This is the right choice where large volumes of water cross a driveway entrance or collect at the base of a slope.

1) Map drainage flow and mark the trench alignment; 2) Excavate to depth and establish a consistent slope; 3) Bed the trench in compacted gravel for support; 4) Set the pre-sloped drain body and connect the outlet pipe; 5) Backfill, install the grate, and test the flow

Excavation is smoothest in summer and early fall when soils are firmer, but trench drains can be installed whenever access allows.
