What This Service Involves

Even quality artificial turf eventually flattens, fades, or loses its drainage after a decade of Pacific Northwest rain and foot traffic. Our replacement service pulls up the worn product, inspects and reworks the aggregate base, and lays modern turf with backing engineered to shed our heavy rainfall. We reset the base grade so water percolates through instead of pooling, a common failure point in older installs on clay soils. The finished surface stays green through gray winters and dry summers alike, with none of the mud or moss that plagues natural lawns here.

Our Process

1) Remove and dispose of the old turf and failed infill; 2) Inspect and regrade the aggregate base for drainage; 3) Compact the base and install a new shock or drainage layer; 4) Roll out, seam, and secure the new turf; 5) Brush in infill and power-broom the fibers upright

Best Time of Year

Turf replacement can be done any month here, but drier summer and early-fall windows make base work and seaming far easier on our normally saturated ground.
