What This Service Involves

Clay brick pavers are fired from natural clay, so their warm red and earth tones run all the way through and never fade like dyed concrete. That color permanence is a real advantage under the flat, gray light of a Puget Sound winter, where surfaces spend months damp. Brick offers excellent slip resistance when laid in herringbone or basketweave patterns, and its density resists moss staining better than many people expect with regular cleaning. We install over a compacted aggregate base with sharp bedding sand so the joints stay tight through repeated wet-dry and freeze-thaw swings.

Our Process

1) Lay out patterns and confirm drainage grade; 2) Excavate and compact a crushed-rock base; 3) Screed a coarse sand bedding course; 4) Set bricks in the chosen pattern with tight joints; 5) Compact, sweep polymeric sand, and secure edge restraints

Best Time of Year
