Brick Retaining Wall

A classic mortared brick wall that brings refined, traditional curb appeal to Northwest homes while retaining modest slopes.

What This Service Involves

Brick retaining walls are built over a reinforced concrete footing and mortared course by course for a polished, traditional look that complements established Puget Sound neighborhoods. Since brick and mortar can wick moisture in our damp climate, we install weep holes, a gravel backfill zone, and a perforated drain pipe so water drains rather than saturating and cracking the wall. The concrete footing and any internal reinforcement anchor the wall against the movement of wet PNW soils. Properly detailed, a brick wall delivers decades of elegant, low-maintenance service.
