What This Service Involves

Cobble is a big, smoothly rounded stone ranging from roughly two to eight inches across in mixed gray, tan, and rust river tones. Its size and weight make it ideal for dry creek beds, downspout outfalls, and swales that channel our abundant Northwest rainfall. Landscapers across Bellevue and Redmond use cobble to add texture and a natural riverbank feel while solving real drainage problems. Because each stone is heavy, cobble stays in place on slopes far better than smaller gravels.

Our Process

1) Excavate and shape the channel or bed with proper grade for flow; 2) Line the graded bed with landscape fabric to block weeds and silt; 3) Set a leveling course of smaller drain rock beneath the cobble; 4) Hand-place cobble over the fabric-lined bed for a natural, stable arrangement
