What This Service Involves

Concrete pavers are the workhorse of Puget Sound hardscaping, offering consistent sizing and a huge range of colors and textures at an approachable price. Because they are manufactured to tight tolerances, they lock together tightly and shrug off the freeze-thaw cycles common in our shoulder seasons. We set them over a deep compacted crushed-rock base with a bedding layer of sand so meltwater and winter rain drain away instead of pooling. Individual units can be lifted and reset if a utility line or root ever needs attention, which makes long-term maintenance simple.

Our Process

1) Excavate and grade the area for proper drainage fall; 2) Install and compact a crushed-rock base in lifts; 3) Screed a leveling sand bedding layer; 4) Lay pavers to pattern and cut edges to fit; 5) Compact, sweep in polymeric sand, and install edge restraints
