We work across whatever species make up your formal hedge, tailoring the cutting method to each while holding a unified, manicured line. A proper batter keeps the top slightly narrower than the base so sunlight reaches the bottom and the hedge stays full top to bottom rather than going bare below. In the Pacific Northwest we also time and stage cuts around each species' growth and disease patterns so the formal look holds through our long growing season.
