Lawn Grading & Leveling

Smooth out bumps, dips, and low spots and correct slope so your lawn drains and mows evenly.

What This Service Involves

Uneven ground makes a lawn scalp on the high spots, pond in the low ones, and jar every mower pass. We regrade the surface to remove bumps and fill hollows, and where needed re-establish a gentle slope that carries water away from the house and off the turf. Minor leveling uses top dressing over the existing lawn; larger corrections involve reworking the soil surface before reseeding or sodding. Proper grade is the foundation every healthy lawn depends on.

Benefits

Even surface that mows cleanly with no scalping; Corrects low spots that pond and stay soggy; Slopes water away from structures and turf; Foundation for a healthy, uniform lawn; Reduces mowing wear and lawn stress

Our Process

1) Survey the lawn for high spots, dips, and drainage flow; 2) Cut down high areas and fill low spots; 3) Establish the correct slope away from structures; 4) Top-dress or reseed and sod as needed; 5) Firm and water the finished grade

What Affects the Cost

Yard size; Severity of the unevenness; Amount of soil moved or imported; Reseeding or sodding after grading

Best Time of Year

Best in spring or early fall; dry-season grading is easier where soil must be reworked.
