What This Service Involves

Leyland cypress grows extremely fast in the mild Pacific Northwest climate, often adding three to four feet a year, which means neglected hedges quickly become towering and top-heavy. Like most conifers, Leyland will not regenerate from old brown wood, so we trim regularly and never cut back past the green line. Our crews reduce height, tighten the sides, and open the canopy just enough to improve airflow, which matters in our damp climate where cypress can develop needle blight and cankers. Consistent trimming keeps these vigorous trees at a manageable, dense screening height instead of a maintenance nightmare.
