Hedge Removal

Complete hedge removal that clears tired or overgrown hedges down to the roots and reopens the space.

What This Service Involves

Sometimes a hedge has simply outlived its purpose – gone woody and hollow, overtaken a walkway, or no longer suits the layout you want. We take the whole run out cleanly, cutting it down in sections and grubbing out the stumps and major roots so nothing resprouts. Established laurel and arborvitae hedges around the Sound develop deep, matted root systems, so we plan the dig and haul-off to leave a workable, replantable strip of ground behind. You get an open, blank canvas instead of a fight with old growth.

Benefits

Removes woody, overgrown, or dead hedges entirely; Stumps and main roots grubbed out to stop resprouting; Reclaims walkways, fence lines, and bed space; Ground left workable for replanting or fencing; Full haul-off of woody debris

Our Process

1) Cut the hedge down in manageable sections; 2) Grind or dig out stumps and major roots; 3) Rake and clear the strip of remaining debris; 4) Grade the ground and haul everything away

What Affects the Cost

Length and maturity of the hedge; Root and stump density; Species and wood volume; Site access for equipment; Debris hauling and disposal

Best Time of Year

Removal can be done year-round in the mild Puget Sound climate, with fall and winter easiest on surrounding lawn.
