What This Service Involves

Cedar hedges, including Western red cedar and related arborvitae types, are quintessential Pacific Northwest screens valued for their soft, aromatic, dense foliage. Like other conifers, cedar will not regenerate from bare brown wood, so we always trim within the green and never cut back too hard. Our crews shape the sides and top, correct any wet-snow splaying, and thin lightly to keep airflow moving and discourage the moss and needle blight our damp winters bring. Regular light trimming keeps a cedar hedge lush and columnar rather than letting it grow open, floppy, and gap-prone.
